Blissful beginnings with Chris

I am a birth doula, postpartum doula and lactation counselor. I am also a mom of 4, a former sign language interpreter and nanny! I love all things baby and am passionate about supporting new parents. I recognize that pregnancy and birth can be a little scary and that knowledge is power. I believe that by empowering new parents with knowledge they will begin this next stage of life with confidence and feel prepared for all the amazing things to come. I went into this field of work for a variety of reasons. The first is that I did not have any understanding of pregnancy and birth when I had my children. I felt unprepared and uninformed. I look back on my births with a little bit of a heavy heart wishing I had more information to make better decisions and improve my birthing experience. I want to make sure that others do not have that same experience. The same goes for breastfeeding. It was hard. I struggled. It could have been so much easier and better if I had only had the support I needed. I have a heart for new parents and I will make sure I do everything I can to ensure they look back on their pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience with bliss and peace.
