Welcome! My name is Emily Vanderoef, a certified Birth Doula, Night Nurse, and Licensed Massage Therapist who is dedicated to helping women feel confident, heard, and deeply supported through every stage of their birth journey.

Pregnancy and birth have always stirred something in me. For years, friends in the birth worker community would ask why I wasn’t doing this work formally, and honestly, it took some personal experiences and lots of prayer to finally make the step fully into this calling. Two years ago I made it official, adding Birth Doula and Night Nurse certifications to the six years I’d already spent as a Licensed Massage Therapist. That combination of hands-on bodywork and emotional support is what sets my care apart.

My approach is simple: no two births are the same, and no two women should be supported the same way. Whether it’s your first pregnancy or your fourth, I meet you exactly where you are.

When I’m not supporting a birth, you’ll likely find me on the porch swing identifying birds by their songs, crocheting a new project, cooking in the kitchen, or getting lost in a good romantic show with a cup of dandy. I also love being present in my husband’s self-defense gym and picking up a paintbrush every now and then. I believe a grounded doula makes for a better doula, and those simple, soul-filling moments are what keep me grounded.
