I’m Shawna, the heart behind The Gentle Fourth. My work is rooted in years of hands-on experience in both Labor & Delivery and Pediatrics, where I had the privilege of supporting families through some of their most tender and transformative moments. That foundation shaped the way I care for newborns and new parents— with steadiness, gentleness, and deep respect for each family’s unique journey.

I bring advanced training and certifications to my work, including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and additional newborn-focused continuing education. My background allows me to blend evidence-based care with warm, intuitive support, offering families both confidence and calm as they navigate the fourth trimester.
