My path to birth work began at age 6 when I had the privilege of being present for the birth of my younger sister. My mom gave birth under the care of midwives on our living room couch. From that time on, I was absolutely captivated by everything pregnancy, birth, and newborn related. Today, in addition to my work as a doula, I am also pursuing a nursing degree and planning to become a certified nurse midwife. My philosophy as a birth professional is blending holistic and ancient wisdom with evidence-based care. I offer different types of support to fit your family’s needs. My primary focus is providing birth support to low-income, disadvantaged birthing folks through Medi-Cal (California’s Medicaid program). I also provide birth support privately (I accept HSA, FSA, and other forms of payment). I provide postpartum doula support in home to help you adjust to life with a newborn. For folks wanting some extra professional help but feel they do not need in-person birth support, I provide pregnancy, birth, and postpartum planning and coaching sessions (virtual or in-person!).
