DuChateau Midwifery

I am a homebirth midwife located in East Los Angeles. My goal for my clients is for them to feel educated in the world of birth, empowered in their experience, and safe with me as their provider. I spent most of my young life in Guangzhou, China where my family cared for orphaned newborns. After high school I found a maternity clinic in the Philippines offering midwifery training and began my journey there. After completing an accelerated program, I moved to California and became licensed with the Medical Board of CA. I worked in birth centers to gain further experience, then stepped fully into my own homebirth practice where my passion lies. I love homebirth. It offers endless opportunity to find personalized ways to care for and build trust with my clients. Homebirth and all the care leading up to it is holistic, it's intimate, and it's completely unique to each person's story.
